DIRK HUCKRIEDEIt’s the challenge of a photographer to look more intense than most people do, and to preserve the child inside to look at things for the first time, every time. As a photographer I meet a lot of different people and I visit a lot of different places. I’m happy to have a great diversity in my assignments. It’s this diversity which gives me my drive. It’s simply exciting! It will be eminent from this website, that I find my main pleasure in photographing (young and happy) people. I never stop after taking the shots – each and every one will be post-edited in a way and to a level my mindset at that point in time will inspire me to. Classic graphic rules are classic for a reason. Nevertheless and be it with great respect for them, I love breaking them. Admiring a photograph is like tasting wine - you can take little sips, describe the different tastes and relate to the great classics. I on the other hand take a sip, taste – and there and then know whether I like it or not. No matter how expensive or cheap, I just like it or not. To impress me, don’t just take a photograph, make a photograph. |
